Despite Karen Carpenter's enthusiasm, indeed, excitement, about the
recording, a decision was made to suppress the work. That meeting occurred
in spring 1980; the album was finally released in 1996. While the whole story
will probably never be known, it is difficult not to draw the obvious conclusions
- but we just do not know. |
