13 "Carpenters at the White House" audio version of the track from the DVD:
Close to You: Remembering The Carpenters

This concert was a command performance by President Richard Nixon who invited the Carpenters to play at the White House during a state visit by the West German chancellor, Willy Brandt in May of 1973.

The audio source of this concert is a rather unusual one. News cameras came in to document the event, and as they were recording it for use in broadcast news programs and clips, the footage was often random and not constant from beginning to end.

As a result there are some songs that were captured in their entirety and some only partially. But this was the only source of documentation for this concert.

The bonus track is 11½ minutes and features a great commentary about the event by Richard and Gary Sims and includes Top Of The World as well as other audio clips from the performance.

Total running time is 36 minutes. Audio quality is good.
