Seller claimed "This is an original and official release of the Karaoke Best Of Carpenters. This is NOT a bootleg or copy, but a genuine release from authorized / licensed record companies. It is however a COVER VERSION and not performed by the original singers"

This was, of course, a lie. The disc contains a totally drivel version of the songs, with totally unrelated pictures and poorly co-ordinated words. No reputable record company would have touched this with a barge pole, and even if they had, they'd not have used the official Carpenters logo.

This is probably the nastiest and most nauseating rip off I've come across.
