Buddy Holly Now! - Review:

This album is a breath of fresh air; true to the Buddy Holly tradition, they have had the courage to interpret the songs their own way, and - mostly - have done a pretty good job.

So many tributes are little more than mimics; they score points on how close they get to that unique sound. But a real tribute is the band that actually thinks about what they perform, and have a pride in their individual approach, as well as a love of the original. Bar a couple of lapses, they even managed not to imitate the original vocal idiosyncrasies. I can forgive them!

I enjoyed this album, and I think most true fans will, too.

Andrew Heenan
